Anthony Rizzo exits after getting hit on hand in potential Yankees scare

Anthony Rizzo is used to getting hit by pitches, which caused him to jump in pain and ultimately cause him to worry about leaving Saturday's game.

In the penultimate game before the playoffs began, the Yankees' first baseman hurt his right hand on a slider in the bottom of the seventh inning and was replaced in the top of the eighth.

After taking a flash in hand with a pitch from left-hander Ryan Borucki, Rizzo jumped wide out of the box and felt pain as he doubled before taking first base.

There, he received a visit from manager Aaron Boone and a trainer, but remained briefly for a force out at second base.

Then, in the top of the 8th inning, Oswaldo Cabrera was moved from shortstop to first base to replace Rizzo, who was likely to head the ball due to hand X-rays.

Rizzo fell during a collision with a pitcher at first base earlier this season, broke his forearm, and was sidelined for two and a half months.
