An anti-Israel protester being pursued by New York City police has turned himself in to face prosecution.
According to information obtained by Fox News Digital, suspect Anas Saleh turned himself in to the New York Police Department’s Second Traffic Precinct on Wednesday morning.
Saleh is facing criminal charges of extortion for allegedly harassing strangers on the city’s subway.

Police say an anti-Israel protester is wanted in connection with a group that occupied a New York subway car and threatened Jewish passengers. (New York Police Department)
NYPD Transportation Commissioner Michael Kemper said Saleh and other protesters entered a subway car and yelled at other passengers, “Raise your hand if you’re a Zionist. Say it with me, now’s your chance to get out!”
The incident happened on June 10 just after 6pm on the 5 train at Union Square, when police said a group of masked protesters chanted slogans and held the train doors. No arrests were made that night.

Saleh was served with a summons, meaning he has a specific date and time to return to court to face the criminal charges.

Protesters clashed with police during a rally at the exhibition centre that they called a “city-wide day of rage against Gaza”, according to video footage of the incident.
As police ordered protesters to move away from roadside barricades, angry exchanges broke out between the two sides.
