Since the October 7 massacre in Israel by the terrorist group Hamas, anti-Israel demonstrators have blocked parade routes, besieged the White House and delayed the president’s speech at an event in New York.
Last November, the White House condemned those who called Biden “Genocide Joe.”talk to new york post By Steve Nelson, National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the nickname “Genocide Joe” was inappropriate, even though he stands on the side of free speech.
“We don’t care about nicknames or bumper stickers. That means First Amendment freedom of speech. The president is focused on making sure we continue to support Israel in its fight against the deadly terrorist organization Hamas.” Mr Kirby Said.
Kirby said the term “genocide” is being misused, given that Hamas wants to exterminate Jews.
“People can say what they want on the sidewalk, and we respect that. That’s what the First Amendment is about. But this word genocide is considered quite inappropriate by many people. “It’s being used in a number of ways,” he said.
“What Hamas wants is definitely genocide. They want to wipe Israel off the map. They’ve actually said that publicly several times, even recently. . And they say they’re not going to quit,” he added.
Recent polls show Joe Biden is a staunch supporter of Israel, so he will have a hard time retaining young voters in this election.
