Anti-Israel Protesters Clash with Police, Toss Smoke Bombs After Harris Event

Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters stormed into an afterparty for Vice President Kamala Harris’ rally in New York City on Wednesday night, throwing smoke bombs, chanting slogans and clashing with police.

The unrest began when a large group of protesters, accompanied by drums and music, began waving banners outside a private Democratic support event at a restaurant in New York’s Harlem neighborhood.

Video footage released by Sky News showed protesters lining the street and taunting rally attendees before entering the restaurant.

Mayor Eric Adams, Gov. Kathy Hauckle, Attorney General Letitia James and other Democratic supporters attended the besieged event.

According to footage from the scene, a mob of about 50 angry protesters stormed into Bird in Hand at Broadway and West 146th Street as stunned customers looked on.

Neither Harris nor her running mate, Tim Walz, attended.

“You set Palestine on fire,” one protester shouted, while another yelled “Shame on you.”

Video footage showed vociferous anti-Israel protesters causing mayhem and setting off smoke bombs.

“How dare you do that,” cried another.

Police were seen fighting with protesters and making arrests as they tried to disperse the activists. New York Post Reports.

This is not the first time Harris has faced a challenge from pro-Palestinian forces.

A week ago, at a rally in Michigan, Harris was heard delivering a cold rebuke to pro-Palestinian activists, as a movement that once threatened President Joe Biden’s reelection now plagues her campaign.

As Harris attacked former President Donald Trump, protesters could be heard chanting, “Kamala, Kamala, you can’t hide. We will not vote for genocide.”

“I’m here because I believe in democracy. Every voice matters, but I’m speaking now,” Harris said during the first interruption during her speech.

But when the protesters refused to stop, she lashed out at them and gave them a cold stare.

“Look, if you want Donald Trump to win, say it. If not, I’ll talk to you!” she shouted.

She then glared at the protesters for at least 15 seconds as her supporters praised the undecided protesters for their silence.
