On Thursday, a group of protesters approached the White House carrying an image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and large amounts of red paint.

The protests coincided with Netanyahu’s visit to the White House to meet with President Biden. Police sealed off a park just outside the White House’s north lawn and forced protesters to move into the sidelines.

Protesters carried many of the same signs seen at an anti-Israel protest at Union Station on Wednesday, where pro-Hamas slogans were chanted and an American flag was burned.

At least 20 protesters stood behind a banner reading “Prime Minister of Genocide.”

Republican lawmakers joined police in replacing American flags after Wednesday night’s protests, after which Democratic lawmakers joined their Republican counterparts Thursday morning in condemning the actions.

“What happened at Union Station is vile, disgusting and wrong,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer wrote on X. “Hamas is a terrorist organization. Glorifying them and burning the American flag at Union Station is disgraceful. Desecrating public property is illegal. Hateful anti-Semitic messages and threats against Jewish people have no place here.”

A man passing by the protest said he was Jewish and offended by the remarks, but was then chased by agitators who yelled at him and called him “Hitler.” He and the woman were then forced inside a building to escape the protesters. When Fox News reporters asked why they were chasing the man, one of them replied that it was because he was white and Jewish.
