Anti-Israel protesters light flares by NYC exhibit for Oct. 7 music festival victims: ‘Long Live the Intifada’

Anti-Israel protesters were seen Monday night outside New York City’s Nova Music Festival exhibition, which commemorated the victims of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.

Protesters clashed with police during a rally at the exhibition centre which they called a “city-wide day of rage against Gaza”, according to video footage of the incident.

There was a brief, angry exchange between the two sides as police ordered protesters to move away from roadside barricades.

Protesters could be heard chanting “Long live the intifada” and “Go to hell, Israel.”

“There is only one solution: intifada revolution,” protesters also chanted.

They were also seen lighting red flare lights but police instructed them to extinguish them.

Smoke bombs were fired as the crowd began to become aggressive, and flags of the Iran-backed Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah were seen waving at the rally. The protesters also displayed a banner reading “Long Live October 7th.”

A group of pro-Israel protesters carrying Israeli flags was also in attendance.

The exhibition, which opened to the public in April and will run until June 16, commemorates the victims of the murder and rape perpetrated by Hamas at the Nova music festival on Oct. 7. More than 350 people were killed by Hamas.

“The Nova Music Festival Exhibition is a profound memorial to the brutal attacks of October 7th,” the exhibit states on its website. “It brings the events of October 7th and the Tribe of Nova festival that took place in southern Israel to New York City. The installation seeks to recreate the event dedicated to peace and love that was brutally interrupted on that fateful day by the Hamas attack from Gaza into Israel.”

Anti-Israel protests have been taking place across the US, especially on campuses, since the Hamas attack on October 7. The attack prompted Israel to declare war and launch retaliatory actions against the terrorist group.
