On Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) responded to anti-Israel protests on college campuses across the country.
The Texas Republican blamed the rise in protests on “cultural Marxism” on college campuses and within government.
“Look, Sean, this is absolutely disgraceful and heartbreaking to see what’s going on,” Cruz said. “This is America. This is not pre-World War II Poland. This is not Kristallnacht Europe. This is America in 2024. This is the result of a disease that has hit the university. This is They are violent protesters who are threatening the lives and safety of Jewish students.”
“Just ask me, Sean, where is Joe Biden tonight?” he continued. “Where is the Attorney General tonight? Where is the FBI tonight? Where is the Governor of New York tonight? I think of Dwight D. Eisenhower, who saw him send in the National Guard, and why wouldn’t Joe Biden do that? And that’s exactly what you said in your opening monologue. People who are threatening the lives and safety of students, because Joe Biden wants their votes.Sadly, the Democratic Party today is not just radicals.
“By the way, where is Chuck Schumer, where is Hakeem Jeffries, the fact that Jewish students are being terrorized in Manhattan today, even though the Senate Democratic leader and the House Democratic leader are both New Yorkers? “There has been complete silence,” Cruz added. “This is shameful. The president of Colombia will tell you what to do, the mayor of New York will tell you what to do, those who are protesting violently, those who are threatening the lives of their classmates. Everybody should say, “They’ll be arrested, they’ll be prosecuted, they’ll be deported, and if they’re not from the United States, they’ll be deported. And no Democrat has the courage to say that. ”
