The Democratic National Convention has been as chaotic and embarrassing as anyone who follows the party would expect.
“There was chaos inside and outside the venue, screaming and crying, it all felt fake and gay.” Sara Gonzalez A comment from Sara Gonzalez Unfiltered noted that enthusiasm around Project 2025 at the Games continues.
Michigan Senator Mallory McMorrow took the stage with a copy of Project 2025 and delivered a speech that showed little self-awareness.
“Donald Trump could weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents. He could even turn the FBI into his own private police force,” McMorrow said as the crowd booed. “That’s not how it works in America. That’s how it works in dictatorships.”
“Exactly!” Gonzalez commented. “That’s how it is in authoritarian regimes, but I wonder if they understand the irony of this. Do they have any self-awareness? There’s a 91-count indictment, and all night they were touting 34 felony charges against Donald Trump.”
“Because you guys did it first, he’s a felon,” she added.
AOC also took the stage, but as Gonzalez noted, her speech “had absolutely no substance” — instead, it was an opportunity for her to yell in a new accent she appears to have recently discovered.
“For my part, I’m tired of hearing about second-rate union busters who think they’re more patriots than the women who fight every day to get working people out from under the boots of greed that tramples on our way of life,” AOC shouted in her new accent while waving her hands around wildly.
“Everyone in the Democratic Party is black,” Gonzales says, confused.
