AOC Emerges as Queen of Leftist Echo Chamber Bluesky

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York) has become the first individual user to reach 1 million followers on the social media platform Bluesky. The Twitter alternative was originally founded with the goal of being a kinder, gentler social media experience, but it has evolved into a left-wing echo chamber filled with censorship demands and child pornography.

the hill report Bluesky, a social media platform created by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in 2019, has seen a surge in popularity in recent weeks, especially among the most fervent leftists. The platform, which boasts features similar to Twitter, grew amid a mass exodus of Democrats from social media platform X, owned by tech billionaire and Trump supporter Elon Musk.

According to Bluesky, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's account was the first user account to reach 1 million followers. The New York Democratic Party took to the stage Tuesday. Comment on the ongoing migration Many on the left wrote in Bluesky that people are leaving X because “it's not fun anymore, and no one should be on a platform that isn't fun.” She added: “It's not rocket science.”

Bluesky CEO Jay Graeber revealed that in the week ending November 19, about 1 million people created accounts on the platform every day. In an interview with CNN, Graeber explained: We've had about a million people a day over the past week, and we've just been telling people how it works and showing them how it's different. ”

Graeber also highlighted the positive user experience with Bluesky, saying: They are having the experience of making friends and talking to people online again. It's something they haven't experienced in a long time. ”

It's not all fun and games at Bluesky. Because new left-wing users are bringing with them familiar grievances, complaints, and illegal activities. Breitbart News previously reported that the left has flooded Bluesky with complaints, demands for censorship and even child pornography.

After several days of explosive growth on the platform, the Bluesky Safety team announced Friday that it had received 42,000 moderation reports in the past 24 hours. This compares to 360,000 in all of 2023. The most troubling thing is that the company admitted that it had received reports of “CSAM.” or child sexual abuse material, commonly known as child pornography.

On X/Twitter, users note that the new platform will quickly censor anyone who thinks the wrong way. That includes one user who was reportedly kicked out of his account the same day he signed up, reflecting previous Twitter moderation rules before Elon Musk bought the company.
