Apology Is Simply Basic Decency, Yet That’s Not Jimmy Kimmel: Gregg Jarrett Describes ABC Host as ‘Weak and Fearful’

Gregg Jarrett Criticizes Jimmy Kimmel on Fox Business

During a segment on Fox Business, legal analyst Gregg Jarrett criticized Jimmy Kimmel, labeling him as “Craven and Wakerley.” This comment came after Kimmel resumed his show without addressing previous backlash regarding his comments about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

On “The Evening Edit,” Jarrett expressed his disappointment that Kimmel did not apologize. He stated, “A truly honest person would recognize their mistakes and offer an apology. But that’s not Jimmy Kimmel. I saw him last night, and I was taken aback when he claimed, ‘It was not my intention to blame a particular group for Kirk’s assassination.’ But that was exactly his intention.”

Jarrett asserted that Kimmel deliberately propagated false information while evading accountability. “He clearly conveyed this a week ago, falsely stating that the assailant was linked to a specific group—this was simply not true. What Kimmel is lacking is moral decency, compassion, and, honestly, integrity. I was glad to see him called out for his dishonesty; this should continue.”

ABC has faced criticism for its handling of the situation, with figures like MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd and Washington Post columnist Karen Attiah facing backlash for their support of Kimmel’s remarks about Kirk’s assassination.

Prior to Kimmel’s episode on September 15, Republican Utah Governor Spencer Cox had presented evidence about the manhunt for alleged assassin Tyler Robinson. Reports indicated that Robinson held leftist ideologies, and sources noted that a left-wing slogan was inscribed on the ammunition used in the incident.
