The clothing company named after protecting biological women from trans athletes has criticized Nike for what it sees as Nike's counterargument on the issue.
XX-XY Athletics released a powerful advertisement on Wednesday ahead of “XX Day” on October 10th. X is the Roman numeral 10, which is a play on the chromosomes of biological women.
The ad features more than 10 women from a wide range of age groups, all of whom have a harsh message for the clothing giant.

“Dear Nike,” several women began.
“Why won't you stand up for me?” another pair asked.
“Why do you claim to support women and girls, but you remain silent when we need you the most? Today, men are demanding support for our identities, our sports, our 'Men and boys are stealing opportunities, medals, trophies and our future.' It's not fair or just. In fact, it is very dangerous, but you refuse to take advantage of your position and stand up.

“You say you support social justice and progress, so why do you allow men's rights to take precedence over ours? See, with a big platform comes an even bigger responsibility. “You have an opportunity to do the right thing. Don't just do the right thing.'' That's why we're asking Nike, as the biggest voice in all of sports. Will you defend me?
“Do you want to just give it a try?”

The company was founded by Jennifer Say in March of this year. Sey was a member of the U.S. women's national gymnastics team for many years.
The ad was posted a day after it was revealed that a group of high school students had organized a walkout across New York state to protest transgender participation in girls' and women's sports.
