Apple has announced a $500 billion commitment to US infrastructure over four years. This is our biggest commitment to domestic spending so far.
Apple said it will expand its teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas and Washington states as part of its new spending.
With the new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will double its investment in advanced manufacturing as it increases its investment in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release The Houston facility is to produce servers that support Apple Intelligence, “a personal intelligence system that helps users write and express themselves and get things done.”

Additionally, the company will see increased supply management in all 50 states, increasing employment in data centers, AI infrastructure and Apple TV+ production in 20 states.
“We are bullish on the future of American innovation and we are proud to build on years of US investment with this $500 billion commitment to our country's future,” CEO Tim Cook said.
He added: “We are thrilled to expand our support for American manufacturing, from double our advanced manufacturing funds to building advanced technology in Texas,” he added.
While Apple boasted an increase in domestic spending, reports have emerged that Microsoft claims it has cancelled at least two private data center operations and contracts in order to spend more money in the US.
This reportedly includes Microsoft relocating “a significant portion of international spending to the US.” Data Center Dynamics.
The analysis suggests that channel checks are referring to spending states, and appears to be slowing down international leases.
