Apple is set to launch a new model of its low-cost iPhone on Wednesday to work to combat tough competition with Chinese rivals.
Tech Giant is planning to introduce a new version of the iPhone SE, a somewhat outdated smartphone that starts at just $429 on its website.
According to analysts, the latest version could be priced better than the iPhone SE released in 2022.
A leaked photo of the upcoming smartphone shows that it will discard the physical buttons at the bottom of the screen and significantly crop the bezel, a white or black panel at the top and bottom of the screen.
These changes are already being made on new iPhones.
The latest models could be bigger than the original iPhone SE.
Analysts also hope that Apple will add Face ID to a new, low-cost model that was not available on the first iPhone SE.
Analysts expect the new technology to have a USB-C charging port rather than Apple's old proprietary Lightning plug.
Last year, Apple stopped selling iPhone SEs in some countries overseas as Lightning Ports are not compliant with EU regulations.
Last month, Apple predicted Wall Street would sell higher than expected as it predicted its new AI capabilities would help recover revenue from the dip.
Investors welcomed the buoyancy outlook after iPhone sales and Chinese revenue fell in the holiday quarter due to tough competition with Chinese rivals like Huawei.
