iPhone users have successfully created everything from guns to drugs to even a suggestive eggplant emoji.

While some adult emojis required a little creativity to generate, others were surprisingly easy. For example, one user reported that he was able to generate a realistic rifle by typing “hunting equipment,” and another user reported that he was able to generate a handgun by simply typing “gun.”

This is especially surprising given Apple's history of censoring gun-related emojis and replacing traditional guns with plastic squirt guns.

One of the most popular “hacks” was creating a suggestive eggplant emoji.

A naughty user discovered that if he typed “aubergine” he would get an error message, but if he used “eggplant” instead, the tool would happily oblige.

After a user shared a screenshot of Genmoji with the prompt “Eggplant with water gushing out,” eggplant and peach emojis were shown being held, licked, eaten, and splashed with liquid and cream. A large number of similar suggestive images were spread on social media.

Other users also created emojis that resemble cannabis leaves, condoms, and even poppers.

Some users have even misused Genmoji to create portraits of celebrities such as Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

One commenter predicted, “This will get censored soon, mark my words,” suggesting that Apple may not tolerate an unexpected flood of inappropriate emojis. I admitted it.

A user on Reddit echoed similar sentiments, saying, “By the time the rest of us have access, if people post, this problem will be long gone.”

Genmojis was recently released to a select few users as part of Apple Intelligence, a new suite of AI features launched in iOS 18.1.

This feature, like other Apple Intelligence features, is only available on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models and all variants of iPhone 16.

The beta period gives Apple time to refine the tool, but it also gives users a chance to continue testing its limits before making it available to the public.
