Approximately 350,000 spectators anticipated at the Indy 500 race

Kyle Larson Attempts the Indy 500-NASCAR ‘Double’

NASCAR champion Kyle Larson appeared on “Fox & Friends” to talk about his ambition to take on the challenging “double” this weekend, where he aims to compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

The Indianapolis 500 is widely regarded as the most significant single-day sporting event globally, and this year, it has drawn an impressive crowd, marking the first time in nearly a decade that the grandstands are completely sold out.

On Tuesday, IndyCar announced that all reserved seating tickets—those in grandstands or suites—had been sold, which is pretty remarkable. It’s expected that about 350,000 spectators will witness the event, focusing their attention on what many call the racing capital of the world this Sunday.

The last sellout occurred during the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 back in 2016.

If you’re still on the lookout for tickets, don’t lose hope. You can check out the official resale market or consider attending events like Carb Day on Friday or Legends Day on Saturday. General admission tickets for race day are also available.

In an exciting twist, the IndyCar officials decided to lift local blackouts, which means fans in the Indianapolis area without tickets can still catch the race live on television.

The anticipation surrounding the 109th running of the Indy 500 is palpable. Noteworthy is Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden, who is vying to become the first driver to win three consecutive Indy 500s. However, he and his teammate Will Power will start from the 11th row, after their cars faced compliance issues during inspection.

Amid all this, Robert Schwartzman made headlines by securing pole position in his Indy 500 debut, a remarkable achievement for the rookie.

So, if you manage to snag a ticket, make the most of it. And if not, you can still tune in to watch the race on Fox this Sunday, with pre-race coverage beginning at 10 AM.
