An impressive scramble completed a 93-yard drive, including a key 26-yard run by Ewers, who appeared to be running well despite an ankle issue.

This was another bright moment for Manning, who has played a significant amount of time while being developed as a future Longhorns quarterback.

Ewers served as a starter while recovering from an abdominal strain earlier this season and was impressive in leading Texas to wins over Ull Monroe and Mississippi State.

Despite the touchdown, Saturday night's appearance was a cameo for Manning. Ewers returned to the game on Texas' next possession in the second quarter.

When the Longhorns were inside the 10-yard line on Texas' second touchdown drive, Manning briefly returned to the game, forcing Texas A&M to call a timeout.
