Argentina's new president, Javier Millay, surprised social media users this week by calling on Western elites to trade freedom for “collectivism” in a speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.
Milais, a self-proclaimed anarcho-capitalist who was elected in November on a promise to cut government spending, told Davos attendees on Wednesday that Western countries were “at risk” because of their policies. “I'm doing it,” he said.
“I came here today to tell you that the Western world is in crisis, and that those who are supposed to defend the values of the Western world will inevitably lead to socialism.” They're at risk because they're taken in by the public, and that leads to poverty,” Millais said.

“Don't trust anyone [is] “We are in a better position than the Argentines to testify on these two points,” he added.
