Ariana Grande Questions Trump Supporters
Ariana Grande, known for her role in “Evil,” recently turned her attention to Donald Trump supporters. During an episode of the “Little Fruity” podcast hosted by Matt Bernstein, she reached out to the more than 77 million individuals who voted for Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
“I want to check in with Trump voters. It’s a genuine question. Over these past 250 days, as immigrants have faced violent separations from loved ones and trans individuals bear the brunt of blame and fear—has your life gotten better?” she posed in her message.
She continued, asking if things like grocery prices, health insurance premiums, work-life balance, opportunities for vacations, and overall happiness had improved.
Her remarks sparked a wave of backlash on social media from Trump supporters. Some of them claimed that in their affluent circles, ignorance is bliss.
One comment noted, “The pain you’re referring to is awareness. The community is actually becoming safer. Why not stick to what you know best?”
Another user expressed skepticism about celebrities’ influence, stating, “It’s still surprising that some celebrities think their opinions matter. She’s just like any other celebrity.” Yet another Trump supporter chimed in, saying, “Do you really care about Ariana Grande’s thoughts? I stand by my vote!”
Grande had previously supported Kamala Harris over Trump in last year’s election. She confirmed her vote for Harris in October 2024 via Florida’s early voting program, sharing a selfie with a sticker that read “Your Vote Matters.” Just three months ago, she also promoted Biden’s message after Harris suspended her own campaign.
In the months following the election, Grande subtly criticized fellow artist Carrie Underwood, who performed at Trump’s inauguration. The Grammy winner interacted with posts that poked fun at Underwood, referencing an iconic quote from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Grande remained tight-lipped about her comments concerning Underwood.
