An Arizona boy was celebrated as the one-billionth visitor to a California theme park, receiving an unforgettable birthday surprise at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Eight-year-old Andres Robles walked through Disneyland Resort’s gates on Friday morning, excited to mark his birthday with his parents. The moment turned really special when he was honored in a ceremony.
Andres, along with his parents, Alejandra and Jose, stood on the Main Street USA station platform, where the thrilled birthday boy unveiled a sign that noted the theme park’s new milestone.
This sign stated “Population: 1 billion people.”
Of course, the ceremony was made even more magical with the presence of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends Daisy and Donald Duck.
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued for Andres. He was treated to a VIP tour throughout the day, a luxury that can cost around $3,500.
The family enjoyed a glimpse into Walt Disney’s private apartment on the premises and also experienced “Soarin’ Across America,” a new attraction celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.
“The Robles family’s visit contributed to the countless cherished memories created at Disneyland Resort,” the blog shared.
Generations of families have visited the Disneyland Resort for vacations, reunions, birthdays, and other significant occasions.
Last year, the Disneyland Resort, which includes both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, marked its 70th anniversary.
As noted in the blog, Disneyland—known globally as the Happiest Place on Earth—serves as a blueprint for other Disney parks worldwide.
Today, Disneyland maintains its standing as a beloved icon and a leader in entertainment and theme park experiences. The resort continues to invest in creativity and technology, building on Walt Disney’s belief that, “As long as there is imagination left in the world, Disneyland will never be complete.”
