A Peoria, Arizona, woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly driving her pickup truck through a park and threatening to kill teenagers who were bullying children, police said.
FOX 10 in Phoenix reported that 30-year-old Brandi Gotch hit one of the children and was charged with multiple crimes, including attempted murder and endangerment.
According to court documents obtained by police, Gotch confronted the children on February 27, 2024, after witnessing them fighting in West Green Park near 87th Street and Butler Drive. the police claim.
During the altercation, Gotch reportedly chased the teen with a stick and grabbed another teen by the hair.

She then got behind the wheel of her truck and began driving recklessly through the park, yelling, “I’m going to kill you and run you over,” police said.
According to court documents, Gotch punched the child and ran over his foot before fleeing the scene.
Police identified Gotch as the registered owner of the pickup truck, went to his home and took him into custody.

Police said Gotch told investigators during questioning that he witnessed the victims fighting with children at the park. She also allegedly admitted that she drove through the park, although she does not believe she hit the children.

“Brandi went on to say that her children were being bullied at school, and that she had previously had problems with this group of children and reported them to the school and police, but nothing was done.” ”[Gotch] I thought the bullying was continuing at the park, so I drove there and saw my daughter being beaten by one of the other boys. ”
Gotch also allegedly told investigators that the children were secured in the truck with seat belts, even though the children said otherwise.

She was taken to jail and held on a $250,000 cash-only bond.
