Have you heard of something amazing? The history of the universe has just been created? The two women traveled farther from Earth than any woman ever before.
Elon Musk made it happen. Of course, the fact that he accomplished the historic first feat is probably the reason you didn't know about it.
Democrats, the far left, and most of the liberal media loved Elon Musk… until they didn't. When he bought Twitter, turned it into an “X,” and made it clear that he opposed much of the censorship that Twitter had pushed and was against free speech, many on the left and in the media attacked him with a vengeance. was hostile to
Almost overnight, Musk became “Public Enemy No. 2.” It's clear he will never reach the number one spot, as the left has carved former President Donald Trump's name in granite for that title. However, since Mr. Musk also dared to support Mr. Trump as a presidential candidate, Mr. Trump will remain the number two candidate forever.
The often unbridled hostility toward masks on the left is alarming. Again, just a few years ago, the left seemed to want to legislate against Musk while praising him and his companies, Tesla and SpaceX. Now, many on the left not only hurl ugly insults at him, they also want to cancel SpaceX, Tesla, Hateful X, and even have Musk arrested.
Published 2 years ago book The title is “56: Lessons of Freedom from those who risked everything to sign the Declaration of Independence.'' The sole purpose of this book was to protect the Founding Fathers from threats of cancellation from some on the left.
At the time, while discussing this book, I often equated Elon Musk with the Founding Fathers. why? Because in 1776, the majority of wealthy American colonists were on the side of the domineering British Crown. They didn't want to rock the boat. They did not want to risk their wealth and privilege. They were happy to be the “useful fools” of their day to those who took away their rights and freedoms.
On the other side were the Founding Fathers, especially those who literally risked their lives to sign the Declaration of Independence. Many are equivalent to today's millionaires. They, like many wealthy people, could have quietly followed the king. But they weren't.
Each looked at themselves in the mirror and asked the two most important questions in life. If not now, then when?'' And they did, and the United States of America was founded.
Like the “billionaires” of 1776, Musk could have gotten along. As the richest man on earth, he needed nothing and had every luxury at his disposal. But like the Founding Fathers, at some point Musk, Trump and RFK Jr. alike, asked themselves these two questions as they witnessed the rise of cancel culture and the elimination of free speech. asked.
The amazing thing about Musk (who I have never met or spoken to) is that he has so many different interests and is carving a life-changing path with all of them. While he fights to protect freedom of speech, he is also desperately trying to figure out a way to permanently remove humanity from Earth – a way to save humanity.
In that very quest, after NASA recently announced it was tracking an asteroid that could destroy Earth, Musk posted on X: …Either become an alien civilization or die.”
Some of that work was on display recently when SpaceX sent a four-person civilian crew on a pioneering mission to Earth's Van Allen radiation belts. I cannot overstate how amazing that mission was.
A long time ago, I wrote a book about the 12 people who walked on the moon. I worked on space issues at the Department of Defense. And I worked as a consultant for NASA and the Space Shuttle team. With that background, I've been following SpaceX's adventures since day one. I know that what Mr. Musk, SpaceX, and his four brave crew members have just accomplished is critical to Mr. Musk's ultimate goal of getting humanity to Mars and beyond.
This latest SpaceX launch, dubbed “Polaris Dawn,” brought about a number of firsts. This was the first space launch entirely by private civilians. First commercial spacewalk. The first all-civilian spacewalk. And once again, this marked the furthest a woman had ever flown in space. Beyond that, it was the furthest place humans had flown from Earth in more than 50 years.
Elon Musk and his once-in-a-century brain power are behind it all.
While NASA continues to destroy itself from within with a focus on DEI programs, identity politics, and above all, climate change, Mr. Musk is taking the lead in space. Leftists can and will hate him all they want for his fight against censorship, his fight for free speech, and for daring to support Trump under fire. But I believe that decades and even centuries from now, Mr. Musk will be recorded in history as the driving force that forever lifted humanity to the promise and protection of the universe.
