Astra Bank Celebrates New Location in Hayes
Astra Bank has officially relocated from downtown Hayes to a new building, aiming to provide more personalized service for its customers.
On Friday, the Hayes Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting event to mark the occasion. Present at the ceremony were Astra Bank Market President Jason Kennedy and CEO Kyle Campbell.
Campbell remarked, “As a family-owned community bank, we really believe we should invest in our community because we will not be more successful than the communities we serve.”
The new bank location at 2605 Main St. features enhanced accessibility, wider drive-thru lanes, and improved customer interaction. The idea to relocate came from a casual discussion between Grow Hayes and City executive director Doug Williams.
“When the city was considering the police station, it worked out a bit. ‘Why don’t you buy my building? Let’s swap it,’” Kennedy recounted.
This arrangement reportedly saved taxpayers money, as the former Astra Bank building at 1100 Fort will now serve as a new police and municipal court facility.
Kennedy highlighted the bank’s role in supporting agriculture, local businesses, and civic initiatives, stating, “Whatever we can find at other banks, we do it here too. We’ll make it even better.”
Astra Bank officially opened its new location on August 18th. To celebrate, they are offering a limited-time promotion of a 10% 3-month CD, available from September 12th to 19th, limited to one per household for the first 100 households.
Kennedy also mentioned that the bank has been operating without interruption during the move, praising his staff for their incredible patience throughout the process.
The bank’s lobby hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the drive-thru operates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
