Aubrey Plaza broke her silence on Monday, three days after the death of her husband Jeff Baena.
“This is an unimaginable tragedy,” she said in a statement provided to Fox News Digital along with the Baena/Stern family. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered to help. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this time.”
The film director and screenwriter died by suicide on January 3, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. He was 47 years old.

Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Friday that authorities responded to a call near Baena's home. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Police Department told FOX News Digital.
