Audience boos as Colbert states Trump is 'very much alive'

Colbert Confirms Trump is “Very Alive” After Rumors

During a recent show, late-night host Stephen Colbert faced audience booing when he announced that President Donald Trump is “very alive.” Colbert was reacting to social media speculation over the weekend that questioned Trump’s health.

Colbert stated, “When I got back to my office, I was shocked to see that there were rumors about Trump passing away. Just to clarify, Donald Trump is indeed very alive.” The audience certainly had their reactions to this.

He followed up with, “No. We appreciate having the president among us.” Then he added, “The only sign of life was the music played in the Rose Garden. What the White House confirmed was indeed Trump’s choice of music, but, honestly, that’s not the strongest proof of life.”

On the other side, a White House spokesperson, Liz Houston, commented on the situation, saying, “While Stephen Colbert continues to flounder with a low-rated show, President Trump is busy elevating our country and delivering for the American people.”

Trump himself weighed in on the health rumors. He informed reporters that he was feeling “very active” after the Labor Day weekend. “I didn’t do anything for two days, and people started to talk, wondering what was wrong,” he remarked, dismissing the death rumors as “fake news.”

Supporting his claim, he shared an image showing the bruises on his hands and the sky, which circulated as unfounded speculation grew over the previous days.

Post-rumors, public interest appeared to fade after Trump was spotted leaving the White House with his grandson heading to a Virginia golf club.

CBS announced in July that Colbert’s show would conclude in May 2026. They said in a statement, “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will finish its historic run, with Stephen being a vital part of CBS.” Colbert took on the role in 2015, becoming known for his keen political commentary, especially targeting Trump.

This cancellation announcement has led to uproar among some liberals and Democrats, with calls for investigations into whether the decision was politically influenced.
