So it's a small miracle that Siraj steered two runs between slip and gully, tilting the ball on the bounce to slip. Washington slipped on his third run and appeared to slightly twist his ankle. It was no easy feat, since Webster's arms were so long that he could basically hit batters on the shoulders from there. The next five pitches survived, and that's a feat. Borland's first 12 pitches were the most dangerous in history.
33rd over: India 143-6 (Jadeja 9, Washington 7) Cummins started and soon Jadeja sandwiched in a single. Washington had a bit of luck! The ball was parried in the air towards square leg and Constas could have gotten it if he had dived forward. Instead, he returns expecting it to be carried. Washington scores past Constas on the next ball.
