Florida Police Warn About “Door Kick Challenge”
Authorities in Florida have issued a cautionary notice after a group of minors engaged in a prank known as the “Door Kick Challenge.” The Hillsboro County Sheriff’s Office shared details via social media about five young suspects who were seen wandering in the Riverview area. One of them, wearing a ski mask, was reported to have kicked a front door and fired an airsoft gun.
After this incident, the group quickly left the scene. Officials emphasized that the “Door Kick Challenge” poses significant risks and urged parents to have discussions with their kids about such behaviors.
The Sheriff’s Office described this challenge as a troubling trend circulating on social media. They shared a video showing a young person approaching a door, kicking it multiple times, and then discharging an airsoft weapon before fleeing.
Titania Jordan, the Chief Parent Officer at Bark Technologies, a parental control app, previously noted that teenagers often engage in such activities to gain attention online.
Concerns have been raised about the dangers associated with these social media trends, emphasizing the potential for serious consequences if young people don’t consider the risks involved.
