Investigation Launched After Ruby Rose’s Allegations Against Katy Perry
Australian authorities have opened an inquiry following claims made by actress Ruby Rose, who accused singer Katy Perry of sexual assault in Melbourne back in 2010.
In a statement to TMZ, Victoria Police confirmed they are examining a historic allegation of sexual assault that supposedly happened in a licensed venue within Melbourne’s Central Business District. This investigation emerged after Rose made shocking allegations against Perry on social media over the weekend. Rose asserted that Perry “bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.” She later updated her followers, indicating she’s unable to discuss the matter further.
Perry’s representatives strongly denied the allegations, asserting they are “categorically false” and describe them as “dangerous, reckless lies.”
In response to Perry’s recent post about a music event, Rose reportedly brought up the claim, alleging that she remained silent for so long because Perry had assisted her in securing a U.S. visa. It’s a rather complex situation that has many puzzled.
Rose shared her thoughts, saying, “I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly.” She expressed gratitude for finally finding her voice, remarking, “It just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me.”
Perry’s team responded, emphasizing that Rose has a history of making serious accusations publicly against various individuals, none of which have ever been verified by others involved.
With the police now actively investigating, this situation is evolving, and many are looking at the implications of such allegations carefully.
