Authorities investigating unusual drone activity observed several times in northern New Jersey in recent days, including near President-elect Trump's Bedminster Golf Club, continue to stress there is no threat to public safety. .
Multiple videos show drones flying in Somerset and Morris counties over the past few weeks, including Dec. 1 and Dec. 3. In a Nov. 25 video, Morris County resident Mike Walsh spotted a drone flying over Black River Middle School in Chester. .
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed Tuesday that it has issued two flight restrictions, including one over Trump Bedminster.

On November 18, the FAA received its first report of drone activity within Morris County. The Morris County line is located approximately three miles north of Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in Somerset County.
On Wednesday, law enforcement agencies in Morris and Somerset counties released a joint statement acknowledging the sighting.
“There continues to be no known threat to public safety,” the statement said.
“The county and local law enforcement agencies are aware of repeated reports of drone activity around Morris and Somerset counties and acknowledge the public's concern regarding these repeated sightings.”
“The County Attorney's Office, Sheriff's Office, Office of Emergency Management, and respective city police departments are working closely with our partners at the FBI, Newark and New Jersey State Police, and the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness to ensure the public's safety. We are working to provide peace of mind and will continue to monitor and investigate drone activity.”
The FBI in Newark and the New Jersey State Police are asking the public to report any information related to recent drone sightings.
Warren County officials issued a similar joint statement asking for the public's help in documenting drone sightings in Warren County, especially those involving critical infrastructure.

“The Warren County Prosecutor's Office and local law enforcement agencies are aware of recent sightings of drone activity within Warren County. We recognize the public's concerns and are aware of any known threats to public safety at this time. I would like to advise you that there is no such thing,” Deputy Warren said. County Prosecutor Jessica Cardone said in a statement, along with Acting Chief of Detectives Brenton Warne, the Warren County Chiefs of Police Association and the Warren County Office of Emergency Management.

The FAA has issued two Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) at the request of federal security partners following multiple reports of drone sightings in Central Jersey.
One of the restrictions is the area near the Solberg-Hunterdon County Airport, which includes the area over Trump Bedminster. Flights over Picatinny Arsenal, a major U.S. Army base in Dover, New Jersey, for research and development purposes through the Weapons Center, are also prohibited.
The ban remains in effect this week for Trump Bedminster and will continue until December 26th for Picatinny Arsenal.
“Safely integrating drones into the National Airspace System is a key priority for the FAA,” the FAA said in a statement Tuesday. The agency has not released any updated information since then.
The agency said it “investigates all reports of unauthorized drone operations and will investigate where appropriate,” and that drone operators who pose a danger to aircraft or people may have their certifications revoked or face $75,000 in fines. He added that he could be fined.
Local media reported that law enforcement agencies were also investigating continued drone activity in the area.

Sightings have also occurred a few miles north of Bedminster in Mendham and Parsippany, where I-80 and I-287 converge.
A Parsippany woman told the Morristown Record that she saw as many as five drones flying overhead Sunday night.

The drone sighting in New Jersey comes after an unidentified drone was spotted over a joint Anglo-American base in the United Kingdom.
“Flock of small drones” It has been spotted over RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, RAF Fairford and Feltwell. Some of those bases are home to F-15 and F-35 fighter jets.
The British military has deployed dozens of personnel to protect the base, and a Pentagon spokesperson said on November 26 that any intrusion did not affect buildings, personnel or assets at the base.
