Andi Dorfman is speaking out for new mothers.
The 37-year-old “Bachelorette” star gave birth to her first child, a daughter she named Harper, nine days ago. On Saturday, she shared on social media that she had to return for surgery after leaving the hospital with her newborn baby.
Dorfman posted a photo on her Instagram Story of herself lying in a hospital bed and holding her baby. Along with the photo, she wrote: “Wow, here we are again! This time it's for mom (a minor setback, quick and safe steps needed) but first I had to snuggle up quickly with this little blob. Again. , I've never been more excited.'' Due to anesthesia (things change quickly when you become a mother).

She added: “Lesson learned: No matter how ignorant you are about motherhood, you know your body best! Listen! Yes, recovery is hard and everyone is different. But your instincts are (and probably are) correct,” he added.
A few hours later, she shared an update and said some of her followers had privately messaged her, saying, “I'm the only one feeling confused and alone with the lack of postpartum care. “That's not true,” he said.

She went on to explain what happened, saying: “Anyway, after I got home I was in severe pain and it was getting worse day by day. People on the internet say it takes time to recover. “But I still felt something was wrong, and after trying it, the pain only increased.” I called the doctor at every home remedy and he told me to come right away. ”

Dorfman said she had a large hematoma and a small hematoma that were causing her pain.
“Within a few hours we were at the hospital and prepared for surgery. A very simple procedure, but still holding a 6-day old baby (and still having tons of hormones lurking). It’s pretty scary to be there.”

“This is all about trusting your body, trusting your instincts, and saying that your doctor really cares about your health and well-being and don't be afraid to reach out to them (overdoing it). ),” she concluded. “I felt a little guilty worrying about myself instead of my daughter, but I realized that if I couldn't do it, she couldn't either. I hope it helps.”

Dorfman and her husband, Blaine Hart, a senior vice president at a real estate company, married in May 2023 after first meeting in college years ago.

She gained public attention in 2014 when she appeared on the 18th season of 'The Bachelor', competing with other women to win the heart of Juan Pablo Galavis. She did well on the show, but decided to leave the show after one night date with him.
