Bad Bunny criticizes ICE activities in Puerto Rico while recording agents.

Latin music superstar Bad Bunny expressed his frustration on Tuesday after witnessing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation in Puerto Rico. In a video he shared on his Instagram Stories, the artist recorded law enforcement officers conducting interrogations by the roadside, directing some pointed remarks at the agents in Spanish.

“Look, those guys are in these RAV-4s. They’re here in Pontezuela,” he said, clearly upset.

Since Donald Trump’s administration commenced, there has been an uptick in ICE operations across U.S. territories. A report from a Spanish newspaper noted that 445 individuals have been detained in Puerto Rico since late January, with a large percentage of those apprehended being Dominican citizens, followed by others from Haiti, Venezuela, and Mexico.

The report characterized the city as being “under siege” due to federal enforcement actions.

Puerto Rico Governor Jennifer Gonzalez Colon, a Republican supportive of Trump, stated that she couldn’t obstruct ICE operations, even in places like churches or hospitals, due to concerns over losing federal funding.

Recent weeks have seen heightened tensions around immigration enforcement in the United States. Protests against Trump’s policies became violent last week in Los Angeles, prompting the call for military assistance.

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is among several public figures criticizing Trump’s immigration agenda. Recently, Kim Kardashian also spoke out against an ICE raid in Los Angeles, condemning it as “inhuman.”

“It’s said that ICE is here to keep our country safe from violent criminals. But when you see innocent people being treated in such a brutal way, it’s crucial to speak out and do what’s right,” she remarked.

Singer Jenna Ortega echoed this sentiment, urging her followers on Instagram to feel outraged and remain informed about such issues.

“The world is suffering everywhere. In Los Angeles, lives are disrupted. Just like that, innocent civilians are caught in conflict around the globe. My heart is heavy,” she shared, encouraging her audience to engage with and understand these complex realities.
