San Francisco Bakery Sells Cookies with Anti-ICE Message

A bakery in San Francisco has introduced a unique cookie that criticizes U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), selling hundreds of them daily.

The controversy surrounding President Trump’s immigration policies—especially his focus on deporting undocumented immigrants—has sparked outrage among many liberals, resulting in protests and various campaigns. One new avenue of protest has emerged through baked goods.

According to KTVU, a Bay Area news outlet, Devil’s Teeth Bakery has created a popular cookie that takes aim at ICE. This initiative follows the tragic death of activist Alex Preti during protests in Minnesota. The bakery’s owner, Hilary Passman, mentioned that she sells around 300 of these cookies each day for $3.50 each.

Passman expressed her feelings candidly, saying, “I don’t think people should be murdered in broad daylight. I don’t think there should be these anti-immigrant sweeps.” Her remarks seemed to reflect her disapproval not just of ICE’s actions but also the broader implications of such practices.

For Passman, selling these cookies is more than just a business venture; it’s a form of protest. “It’s important to show kids that they have to stand up for what they believe in, even if it’s just making cookies,” she stated.

Despite receiving some criticism online for her stance, Passman remains unapologetic. “I don’t care, everyone is allowed to have their opinion, and I’m allowed to have mine, and my opinion is ‘f— ICE,'” she added.

Passman affirmed her commitment to selling the cookies “as long as ICE is killing people,” highlighting the bakery’s stance on the issue. All profits from these cookies are directed to the Minnesota Community Action Network, a group that comprises over 1,000 organizations focused on anti-poverty efforts. KTVU mentioned a satisfied customer, Whitney Spence, who, after sampling the cookie, remarked that it “tastes like democracy.” Spence further noted, “We’re happy to support companies that say, ‘You’re harming people in our community.'”

As the situation continues to unfold, Spence also pointed out that the significant presence of major companies in the Bay Area should incite them to act against the injustices taking place. “This is not what this country should be about,” he said, suggesting that these powerful organizations have a responsibility to use their influence for good.

Fox News Digital reached out to ICE for a response, but no immediate reply has been received.
