Balloon not national security threat, NORAD reportedly says

The North American Aerospace Defense Command said it indicated the balloon intercepted over Utah did not pose a national security threat. fox news digital.

“Working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) detected the small balloon at an altitude of 43,000 to 45,000 feet,” the report said. “The balloon was intercepted by a NORAD fighter aircraft over Utah, but the balloon was determined to be uncontrollable and not a threat to national security. NORAD will continue to track and monitor the balloon. NORAD continues to work closely with the FAA to ensure flight safety. ”
