A 31-year-old Baltimore woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a violent crime that injured six people, police said.
Tanay Stallings-Brown committed two stabbings and several hit-and-runs on Thursday before being pursued by officers and arrested, Prince George's County police said. A motive for the attack has not been determined, and the victims appear to have been chosen at random.
“The crimes committed by Stallings Brown occurred across three different police stations over the course of an hour and a half,” Chief Malik Aziz said.
Police first responded to a call about a hit-and-run at Forest Park Drive and Ritchie Road in Capitol Heights around 5:05 p.m. Thursday. The driver hit a woman on the sidewalk. Police said the victim suffered minor injuries, but the driver fled the scene.

About 10 minutes later, officers responded to a second call at 20 Ritchie Road. Two people were hit by cars. Police said the driver got out of his car and stabbed one of the victims, a 15-year-old woman, resulting in life-threatening injuries. The second victim, an adult male, had injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police responded to the scene of a third hit-and-run in the 6800 block of Walker Mill Road around 5:25 p.m. The adult male victim told officers he was walking on the sidewalk toward Addison Road when he was struck by a vehicle. But this time, the driver swerved and hit the victim again.
Another hit-and-run victim was found in the 1000 block of Addison Road South, police said. The victim was struck by a car and suffered minor injuries.
Finally, around 6:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to a gas station in the 9100 block of Annapolis Road in Lanham, where a sixth victim, an adult male, was seriously injured.

Investigators identified and linked a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu to each crime. The car was tracked and found in Baltimore.
With assistance from the Baltimore Police Department, Prince George's County police officers observed the suspect getting into a vehicle around 10:50 p.m., after which police conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Washington Street. Stallings Brown was taken into custody.
Police said the car she was driving had significant damage to the front and a broken windshield.
“Commanders and investigators from each of these departments aggressively interviewed victims and witnesses and sought to locate videos and images of the suspect.
