The Nashville Metro Police Department announced Sunday afternoon that they found the cash card belonging to missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain near the Cumberland River.
Police posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Strain’s card was found on an embankment between Gay Street and the Cumberland River.
Police said: “Riley Strain’s bank card was found this afternoon on the embankment between Gay Street and the Cumberland River. The search continues.”
A body was also reported floating in the Cumberland River around 1 p.m. Sunday, but Nashville Fire Department officials told FOX 17 that the body did not match Strain’s description.

Strain, a senior at the University of Missouri, was last seen at around 10 p.m. March 8 at Luke Bryan’s Bar on Broadway Street “after drinking downtown” and walking down Gay Street. It is said that he was there. Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Strain was reportedly kicked out of the bar on the night of March 8 because staff felt he had had too much to drink. Fox 17 reported that Strain told his friends that he was walking back to the Tempo by Hilton hotel, about five blocks from Luke’s 32 Bridge.

TC Restaurant Group, which manages Luke’s 32 Bridge, released a statement to FOX News Digital saying it is cooperating with police and providing a detailed description of the interaction with Strain inside the restaurant.
“When Riley visited Luke’s 32 Bridge, our records show he purchased and was provided with one alcoholic beverage and two glasses of water. At 9:35 p.m., our security team Based on our standards of conduct, we made the decision to escort Riley from the venue to Broadway. “He came out the front of our building. He was walking down the stairs with one of the members of the group.” The person who was with Riley did not come out and returned upstairs,” the group said.
According to FOX 17, Strain’s phone last rang between 10 and 10:30 p.m. in the area of Public Square Park, near the sheriff’s office and the Cumberland River.
