Bank of America suffered an outage Wednesday afternoon that left some customer accounts with zero balances.
According to Down Detector, which monitors technical disruptions, the issue began around 12:47 p.m.
User X reported that his account balance was showing as $0, but when he called BofA's automated phone line, the correct balance was shown.

X's bank help line account directed customers to an automated link for help.
BofA is the second largest bank in the United States after J.P. Morgan, serving 69 million domestic consumer and small business customers.
The company said in a statement to FOX Business:
“Today, some customers are experiencing issues accessing their account and balance information. These issues are currently being addressed and are mostly resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience. ”

Still, the Downdector monitoring site showed technical outages still being reported as late as 7pm Eastern time.
