Bank of Oklahoma customers struggle during three-day outage – News On 6

Some Bank of Oklahoma customers are relieved to finally be able to return to their accounts and make transactions.

The bank announced that its website and app are back to normal after an almost three-day outage.

One customer told News On 6 he didn't know if he would be paid Friday. Another man said the power outage had disrupted small businesses.

“Due to failures with our service providers, your deposits, payments, and transactions may be delayed or incorrectly reflected in your digital access. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working hard to resolve this issue. We will continue to work on it.”

That's the message JC Reynolds read multiple times this week when he tried to access his online banking app.

“We were unable to create a shipping label,” he said. “I started having problems with my cart, and that's when I knew something was wrong.”

Reynolds uses the BOK app for small business transactions. He said the outage has caused a major setback.

“We probably have 35 to 40 packages waiting to be shipped,” he said.

The notification also appeared at the top of Danae Gleaden's phone. She is waiting to see if she will be paid this week.

“Finally, yes, finally my salary is paid,” she said.

It's been several days since Greeden was able to access the account. She said her daughter's 17th birthday was during a power outage.

“We couldn't do anything. We couldn't get groceries, so we had to borrow money from our families just to buy something to eat,” she said.

Glieden uses BOK for both personal and professional transactions. She says this experience may make her look elsewhere.

“It was a nightmare. It made me reconsider doing business because not only my personal life depends on it, but my business depends on it,” she said. spoke.

Gleaden said she was also frustrated by not hearing back from her bank.

BOK says that balances on the app should be accurate at this time, but some transactions may still take some time to process. Additionally, any fees incurred due to the suspension of service will be fully refunded.
