BBC Commentator’s Wife, Daughters Killed In Alleged Crossbow Attack

British authorities are reportedly searching for a suspect believed to have killed a BBC commentator’s family with a crossbow.

Kyle Clifford, 26, is accused of murdering BBC Racing horseracing commentator John Hunt’s wife and two daughters, BBC News reported. reportOfficers from Hertfordshire Police (HP) were called to the scene on Tuesday and found three women suffering from serious injuries. HP Police Chief John Simpson told reporters on Wednesday that the suspect used a crossbow and possibly other weapons to attack the victim, CBS News reported. reportIt is unclear whether the suspect knew the victim.

Speaking to television viewers, Simpson addressed Clifford directly, saying, “Kyle, if you’re seeing or hearing this, please reach out to me,” according to the outlet.

“The deaths of three women in Bushey last night are truly devastating. My heartfelt condolences go to the families, friends and local community of those who have died,” UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper wrote.

BBC News Journalists reported seeing police knocking on residents’ doors and asking them if they saw or heard anything at the time of the murder. Hunt and his wife also had a third daughter, who was reportedly not a victim of the attack.
