The Chicago Bears will have to decide who will have possession of the ball for the milestone game after Caleb Williams passed to Rome Odunze for the team's first touchdown of the season.
In fact, Williams' pass to fellow rookie Odunze for a 1-yard gain marked the first passing touchdown thrown by a rookie quarterback in the 2024 season after some rough play over the first two weeks.
Williams, the Denver Broncos' Bo Nix and the Washington Commanders' Jayden Daniels have yet to reach the end zone with a pass through the air in the first two weeks as they are still getting acclimated to the league.

But late in the game against the Indianapolis Colts, Williams found an unmarked Cole Kmet with about two minutes left on the clock and threw another pass, but it ultimately wasn't enough.
Colts pitcher Jonathan Taylor got a first down with the Bears running out of timeouts in the second half to seal the win at home, while Williams and the Bears lost 21-16. Both teams are now 1-2 this season.
Williams had two interceptions before throwing two touchdowns, suggesting another uphill battle for the No. 1 overall pick in 2024.
But Williams finished strong, becoming the quarterback with a new career-high 363 yards in Week 3. Williams threw 52 passes, completing 33 of them.
Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson struggled again, making a silly mistake on third-and-goal from the three-yard line and throwing a pass that was deflected off by Ashton Dulin and intercepted by the Bears in the end zone. Dulin was triple-covered when Richardson released the ball.
He had another interception, this time on the first play of the second half, intercepting a pass intended for Michael Pittman.

Richardson finished the game completing 10 of 20 passes for 167 yards and no touchdowns.
Instead, the touchdown came from Taylor, who rushed 23 times for 110 yards and two scores, and Trey Sermon, who was forced into the end zone during a scrum for his first points of the season.
Looking more closely at the box score, Odunze had a team-high 112 yards on six catches, while Kmet finished with a big game with 10 catches for 97 yards. DJ Moore also had eight catches for 78 yards.
Williams and Odunze will always remember that first touchdown connection, and Bears fans can look forward to many more touchdowns in the years to come.
