Confusion broke out on the streets of Bucharest Sunday evening as supporters of presidential frontrunner Karin Georgek responded to anger after Romania's Central Election Bureau banned them from running again following the November election, when the voter won the first round of votes.
The Romanian capital fell into violence as supporters of populist nationalist Karin Georgek clashed with police, throwing stones, firing fireworks and setting the centre of Bucharest.
Protesters gathered near the department's headquarters and by the Romanian central bank. Sometimes amid violent protests, television truck vehicles that were behind national broadcasters were turned over.

The decision was followed that Georgek was arrested and charged with, among other charges, “inciting action against the constitutional order,” “false statements,” and “starting or establishing an organization of the character of fascist, racist or foreigners.”
Georgek became globally prominent when he secured a surprising victory in the first round of his presidential election vote in November. However, he was never allowed to advance to the second round, as the Romanian Constitutional Court negated the election amid claims that Russia had interfered in the competition on his behalf.

Independent politicians have been accused of being pro-Russian and anti-Nat. However, Georjuk argues that he is the “first Romania” candidate, similar to US Donald Trump, and believes that good relations with Moscow and the end of the war in Ukraine will benefit his country.
Following the decision of the Central Election Bureau to ban it from running again in the next presidential election, Georgek said I wrote it: “Another direct blow to the center of democracy around the world!”
“I have only one message. If Romanian democracy falls, the whole democratic world will fall! This is just the beginning. That's so easy! Europe is now a dictatorship, and Romania is under tyranny!”
Romanian politicians were not alone in this review. Italian deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini described the ruling as “Soviet Eurocooper.”
