UNC’s Struggles Continue Under Belichick
Things aren’t looking great for Bilberic at Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels suffered a 2-3 defeat on Saturday. It follows a rough start to the season, marked by a steep 38-10 loss to Clemson, leaving them with just one win in their first four games.
Last week, UNC faced UCF and fell behind 28-3 before the first quarter ended, ultimately losing 34-9.
The Tar Heels achieved their only two victories against Charlotte and Richmond. Notably, they kicked off the season with a heavy 48-14 loss to TCU.
As UNC struggled against Clemson, many took to social media to criticize Belichick, a name usually associated with success. One user even remarked, “If he quit at halftime and never looked back, I wouldn’t blame Belichick.” Another added that “he should just call Tom Brady.” Pretty strong words coming from fans, right?
In terms of play, Clemson had a strong start, with Antonio Williams throwing a 75-yard touchdown pass on the first play. Cade Klubnik notably threw four touchdowns in the opening 30 minutes.
Next, UNC will take some time off before traveling to California for their upcoming game. It’ll be interesting to see how they regroup after this rocky start.
