It’s been less than a week since Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, but little is known about why the couple actually split.
However, new information is coming to light about Affleck’s alleged behavior that may have contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.
“There was erratic behavior and major mood swings,” the source claims. People Magazine As for Affleck’s moods during their marriage, they explained that the famous actor and director alternated between “incredibly happy and warm, the best light emanating from him” and “the deepest, darkest behavior.”
“We think he was sending a message to the press,” the source continued, “but he went anyway.”

Less than a year after the couple tied the knot in May 2023, paparazzi captured a tense moment between Affleck and Lopez in Santa Monica. In a video obtained by Fox News Digital, the pair are seen walking to their car, with Affleck opening the passenger door for Lopez. As Lopez gets inside, Affleck dramatically closes the door.
As he approaches the driver’s side, he can be heard telling the paparazzi, “I think you guys got me.”

In February, two months before their planned separation, Affleck accompanied Lopez to the Grammy Awards, where cameras captured an awkward moment between the pair, after which Become a talking point online.
Affleck appeared to whisper something Lopez didn’t like, prompting Lopez to smack her husband in the chest – before suddenly realising the cameras were rolling and host Trevor Noah was speaking.

Affleck explained what really happened in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter the following month: “I [Noah approach] And I thought, ‘Oh, my God,'” he began.
“They were framing us in this shot, but we didn’t know they were rolling. I leaned over to her and said, ‘As soon as they start rolling, I’m going to move away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.’ She said, ‘You’d better not move away.’ That’s just how it is.”

The source continued that the reunited couple had been trying to stay together for the long term but it just didn’t work out.
“They were trying to get through it but the mood swings, the big highs and big lows, spoke to a pervasive toxicity and no one can help them, they have to help themselves,” they said.
“But I won’t be so bold as to say there’s no love. Of course there is. The whole world was rooting for them, but who he said he was and who he actually was were two different people.”

Meanwhile, Amy Laurent, professional matchmaker and author of ‘8 Weeks Forever: A Step-by-Step Guide to Getting (and Keeping) the Man of Your Dreams,’ told Fox News Digital that Lopez’s lifestyle may have played a role in the breakup.
“Jennifer Lopez is a powerful woman who lives a very different life than most of us. Celebrities in general have very unique circumstances and so it’s only natural that they face much greater challenges finding love. For megastars who live lavish lifestyles, the challenges are even greater.”

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, August 20, two years after their wedding in Georgia.
She did so without a lawyer, Fox News Digital confirmed via court documents. Lopez cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, adding that they separated on April 26.
Representatives for Affleck and Lopez did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
