Chicago Bears’ Head Coach Celebrates Playoff Victory

Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson was thrilled after his team’s 31-27 playoff comeback against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. The locker room was filled with celebration as Johnson kicked off his postgame remarks with a powerful message.

“Whoa, it’s the Packers!” Johnson exclaimed. “Oh, those people! I hate those people.” The rivalry between the Bears and Packers seems to be reaching new heights. When Johnson initially joined the Bears, he stirred the pot by mentioning how fun it was to beat Matt LaFleur twice each season.

This could explain the chilly handshakes exchanged during their matchups, including one after the recent playoff game. The Bears ended the regular season with a split, 1-1 against the Packers, but they managed to secure a critical playoff victory.

Despite trailing 21-3 at halftime, Johnson commended his players for their resilience. “We’re built to withstand pressure,” he stated, highlighting their ability to bounce back.

The Bears’ win marked the first postseason victory over the Packers since 1941. In the fourth quarter alone, the Bears outscored the Packers 25-6, with Caleb Williams throwing two touchdown passes, one of which was a 25-yard game-winner to DJ Moore.

Williams ended the game completing 24 of 48 passes for 361 yards, contributing two touchdowns and two interceptions. On the other side, Packers quarterback Jordan Love managed 24 completions out of 46 attempts for 323 passing yards and four touchdowns.

This victory advances the Bears to the NFC divisional round for the first time since the 2010 season.
