Actor Ben Stiller has slammed Russian media by circulating on social media to shoot down allegations that he received money from difficult US institutions for international development.
USAID is under intense scrutiny after accusing Elon Musk of leaking taxpayer funds to audit the budget. Democrats angered the efforts as illegal and have pledged to take action against Musk.
“We didn't have any funds from USAID and certainly no payments of any kind.”

Musk was tasked with investigating federal waste, fraud and abuse by President Donald Trump. Democrats accused him of acting unconstitutionally by undermining the department enacted by legislative legislation.
“These are lies from the Russian media. They fully funded a humanitarian trip to Ukraine. They had no funds from USAID and certainly no payments of any kind,” he said, his official social media account. Stiller said.
“100% false,” he added.
A video posted on social media claimed that $20 million was paid to Angelina Jolie, $5 million was paid to Sean Penn and $4 million to Ben Stiller. Community notes on the tweet also contradicted the claims made.
“The original source of the post-claims is… a Russian site that should be considered unreliable in the context of war in Ukraine.” Community notes I said in X.
Despite the notes, one iteration of the video won nearly 1 million views, and the false news spread in the video screenshots.
Russia's third year marks the third year of the Ukrainian War. Trump said he would end the war on the first day of his presidency, but the war was sadly furious.
