Conservative Influencer Lands in Los Angeles to Expose “Fraud”
LOS ANGELES — On Tuesday, conservative figure Benny Johnson arrived in Los Angeles, declaring his intent to reveal what he believes is “the biggest scam on the planet.” He described it as part of a $24 billion tax-funded “homeless industrial complex” that, in his view, thrives on failure and human suffering.
“Today is the day. We have landed in California,” he shared on social media.
“We have one mission: to expose the fraud and corruption that is killing one of America’s greatest states,” he emphasized.
Johnson mentioned he was collaborating with researchers and watchdog groups that possess evidence, intending to uncover waste and corruption in Los Angeles, similar to how YouTuber Nick Shirley tackled issues in Minneapolis. He asserted that Los Angeles is “the greatest center of fraud on earth.”
In a number of videos, Johnson highlighted the challenges facing the state, such as $5 gas prices, dilapidated vehicles, extensive homeless encampments, and blatant drug use. He expressed concern about California’s upcoming Olympics amidst these pressing issues.
One of his initial stops was Randy’s Donuts, a well-known LA spot featured in many films, which he claimed illustrated California’s decline.
“It’s a complete occupation of homeless encampments, with open drug use,” he remarked. According to him, staff were forced to turn people away while waiting for donuts. “This is California in free fall. It’s a third-world hellscape,” he added.
He reignited his ongoing dispute with Governor Gavin Newsom, directly addressing the governor in a video featuring an encampment. “This cost $24 billion? Are you proud of this?” Johnson asked, blaming Newsom for three decades of deterioration.
Johnson alleged, “The dirty secret is that we don’t want to solve the homeless problem because it’s so lucrative for our friends.”
This is Randy’s Donuts in Los Angeles. An iconic landmark from the 50’s. You’ve probably seen it in dozens of Hollywood movies. It should be protected and loved. Instead? Complete occupation of homeless camp. Open drug use. The addicts fire their guns and crash on the sidewalk. I watched the staff shoot…
During his visit to San Francisco, he noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping mocked Newsom by suggesting the governor temporarily “solved” the homeless crisis, implying that it could be managed if desired. Johnson commented, “So you obviously can do it, you wouldn’t do that.”
This trip to California followed Newsom’s news organization making disparaging remarks about Johnson, interpreted as a jab at Johnson’s personal life. Johnson responded by accusing the governor of dodging policy failures through “tasteless” personal insults, defending his long-term marriage.
In closing, Johnson stated, “This is not just a California problem. Criminal activity here steals from all American taxpayers.” He concluded with a warning, “Don’t worry, the world will soon know where the money went.”
