Berlin Police Chief Warns Jews and Gays to Be Cautious in Arab Areas

The police chief in the German capital has warned that Jews and homosexuals need to be more careful in the city's Arab areas.

Berlin's police chief, Barbara Slovik, has implicitly acknowledged the failure of mass immigration, saying there are “certain areas” in the city where openly Jewish and homosexual people are more likely to be seen in public. He said we should be cautious.

The Berlin police chief went on to acknowledge that in these ethnic enclaves, “anti-Semitism is openly expressed against people of Jewish faith and origin.”

Slowik said that since the October 7 attack by Hamas terrorists last year, Berlin police have opened 6,200 investigations into anti-Semitic acts.

The police chief noted that the majority of these incidents involved online hate speech and property damage. She said 1,300 investigations focused on acts of violence, but many of these incidents occurred during anti-Israel protests and were directed at police.

“On the contrary, I do not take this lightly. Fortunately, there are very few violent crimes against Jews, but there is no doubt that any crime is too much. I can understand why it remains,” she said.

However, in the wake of last year's Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, there has been a marked increase in anti-Semitic incidents, according to the Berlin-based Center for Research and Information on Anti-Semitism (Rias).
