Beshear: ‘It hurts’ to see Trump, Vance lie about election, natural disasters

During Beshear's appearance on “This Week,” ABC News' Martha Raddatz referenced an interview she had with Vance earlier on the show in which she pressed the Ohio senator about Trump's 2020 election loss. Ta. Vance did not answer her question.

“It's just amazing. Apparently no lie is too big for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance,” Beshear said in an interview with Vance. “So when you ask him about the last election, all you're asking him to do is acknowledge reality, believe in democracy and say, 'Yes, Donald Trump lost the last election.' It makes sense that we have a vice president who can say, 'And now we're running for this election. ”

Beshear also lamented the “lies” being told about the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) disaster response.

“Listen, Kentucky went through the worst tornado disaster and the worst flooding disaster in history, and I never had to deal with shenanigans like Donald Trump.” [is] Turn it off now,” Beshear said.

The Kentucky governor later added that he was “heartbroken” about all of this. [misinformation]”
