A leading Beverly Hills doctor is accused of drugging an employee and raping her while she was unconscious. Police said it was part of a pattern in which he lured women with promises of high-paying jobs.
Dr. Babak Hajoseini, 42, was charged with mass rape last week after a staff member said he sexually assaulted her inside her home. This was announced by the Los Angeles Police Department. Monday.
“He is charged with assaulting one victim, but investigators believe there are additional victims who have not yet come forward,” LAPD said.
Police said the doctor used his reputation in the industry as a founder of the Wound and Burn Center of America and a visiting specialist at Catalina Island Health.
“Hajoseini used job posting sites to find and lure potential victims by offering them high hourly wages,” the Los Angeles Police Department said.
“He then encouraged potential victims to work overtime at his home.”
One woman told police that Hajoseini pressured her into drinking alcoholic beverages at his home, causing her to black out.
Police said Hajoseini then allegedly raped her and recorded her.

The doctor was arrested on November 26 when an employee reported the suspicions to police.
He was subsequently charged with a number of charges related to the alleged assault, including rape while under the influence of drugs and rape of an unconscious or sleeping person.
Mr Hajoseini, who has already posted bail, has denied the charges and accused police of making “false and despicable accusations” against him.
“Dr. Hajoseini will be tried in court, not in the media. In court, cases will be decided on the basis of evidence, not baseless innuendo,” the lawyer said in a statement.
“There is extensive evidence that will be presented in court to prove these allegations are false, and Dr. Hajoseini voluntarily took a polygraph test, which he passed with flying colors. We are aware that this raises troubling questions regarding the integrity of that press release.”
