Bicycle-riding bandit knocks out, pick-pockets man in Brooklyn

Police said Friday that a robber on a bicycle beat a man unconscious on a Brooklyn street before robbing him and stealing his valuables.

The shocking attack happened just after 10:30 a.m. on Sunday near Metropolitan and Manhattan Avenues in Williamsburg.

According to the New York Police Department, the assailant approached the 26-year-old victim on a Citi Bike and struck him on the right side of the head, leaving him unconscious.

The attacker then went through the man’s pockets and stole his wallet and cash.

The thief escaped on his bicycle.

Police say he is still unconscious.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries.

Video shared by police shows the ponytailed suspect wearing a black baseball cap, black shirt and khaki pants while riding a Citi Bike.
