Biden admin hindered efforts to cancel grants to climate groups under criminal investigation

Following President Donald Trump's landslide election victory, the Biden administration apparently reworked the Obama administration staff and the Environmental Protection Agency grant agreement
Climate warning group To make it difficult for the next administration to regain its $7 billion award.

The Climate United Fund, one of the recipients of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program currently being xed by the Trump EPA in a criminal investigation, appears to be misusing its strategic obstacles in its desperate efforts to get the money promised by the Biden administration.

background

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin and the US Government Efficiency
announcement It was discovered last month that the Biden administration parked around $20 billion in Citibank as part of a climate brand scheme created under the Inflation Reduction Act, which was “designed to monitor all money and mandate all money at Rush jobs” in the interest of fellow travelers.

Agent
It is shown On March 2, it was working with the Department of Justice and the ongoing criminal investigation into FBI issues, also referred to the GGRF program's “EPA's Inspector Office Office on issues relating to financial mismanagement, conflicts of interest and failed surveillance.”

One of the fund's intended recipients was a new nonprofit related to the Georgia Ethics Committee and solid Biden alliance Stacey Abrams, a 2023 domestic terrorist allegedly domestic terrorist and a failed gubernatorial candidate who was slapped in January. It is shown It was probably “the largest ethical fine imposed by any national ethics committee in the country related to election and campaign finance cases.”

Power Forward Communities, a nonprofit linked to Abrams, was awarded a $2 billion grant last year as part of the GGRF program, despite having no history of managing funds competently.

Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of the Energy Advocacy Organization
Promote the futureHe told Blaze News that the multi-billion-dollar taxpayer dollar obligations to PFC and other new climate groups “worthy corruption and deserves IRS and DOJ investigations,” with minimal or no track record of achievement.

“The EPA has determined that these flaws pose an unacceptable risk to the efficient and legal implementation of this grant.”

“I've always enjoyed the show “Shark Tank.” I spend half my life on the road and there are a lot of them in hotels, so watching at night is kind of a programme,” Turner said. “Sharks always ask about revenue before they invest, and that's usually where they decide what they're going to do. Stacey Abrams' group received $100 in donations and then received a $2 billion grant.

“It shows the frivolity of the people at these institutions, the true political nature of the grants. It also explains the rage these people have with Elon Musk and Dozi. “This is their lifeline and it's taken away from them, but it shouldn't have belonged to them in the first place.”

Climate United Fund Money Trouble

Climate United Fund, an organization founded and led in 2024.
Beth Baforda former special assistant to the Obama administration's Office of Management and Budget, and was similarly planned to board the last gravy train by the Biden administration.

According to Court documents include FBI Recommended Citibank frozen its CUF account in late February, citing “trustworthy information” and cited it as one of many accounts that “had been involved in potential criminal violations” such as wire fraud and conspiracy to fraud the US.

On March 4, the Treasury directed Citibank not to spend funds from its GGRF accounts belonging to the CUF, citing the EPA's “concerns about potential fraud and/or conflict of interest related to the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.”

When the Slush Fund discovers that it is unable to emit and that it may not receive the $6.97 billion GGRF award, CUF, like other groups affected by the EPA funding freeze and termination of grants –
He filed a lawsuit On March 8, he told both the EPA and Citibank, “EPA claims it took action to prevent Citibank from spreading out.” [sic] Funds, harms unite, their borrowers, and the communities they serve. ”

The EPA, which proved it willing to fight it in court, stated that it was consistent with multiple ongoing independent federal investigations of program fraud, waste, abuse and conflicts of interest, following a comprehensive review, and subsequently notified the plaintiffs that they have ended their grants… The EPA has decided that these flaws pose an effective risk for this side effect.

“They don't want to get a real job, so they're just fighting for the survival of their existence.”

According to the grant agreement between the Climate Group and the EPA, the award can only be terminated if:

  • “Grant recipients are engaged in “substantial” violations so that “effective performance” is “substantially compromised.”
  • “Recipients are engaged in a 'significant misrepresentation of eligibility status'.” or
  • “For “vain, fraud, abuse””

Judge Obama
Domination On Tuesday, the EPA was unable to regain the Biden-era grants. However, US District Judge Tanya Chukkan didn't allow CUF or other climate warning groups to withdraw billions of taxpayer dollars they believe they are in debt.

The climate group's efforts to get taxpayer funds drag some questionable details about the grant into the light.

Declining EPA institutions

Washington Examiner Sarah Bedford
Highlighted A month after Trump crushed Kamala Harris on the vote, the Biden Environmental Protection Agency has amended a grant agreement with the Climate United Fund, making it difficult to revoke the award.

Eric Amidon, EPA's Chiefs of Staff;
It's attracting attention The agency's grant agreement with CUF, originally issued in August, was filed in court on Monday that it did not define the terms of “materially impaired” or “waste, fraud, abuse,” and that it did not use the terms in a way that left the EPA substantial discretion to administer the contract. However, Amidon noted that in December 2024, the EPA issued an amended grant agreement to the CUF, altering compliance and termination provisions and defining the above terms.

As a result of the change, the EPA effectively lost its contractual authority “to find CUFs in an immediate violation due to their failure to report grant expenditures, audit results and project status expenditures.” “Overview subrecipient compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.” And to spend grants only on acceptable activities,” Amidon said.

Amidon also showed that the Biden administration's post-election definition of “materially damaged” and “waste, fraud, and abuse” further ties the EPA's hands and limits the agency's ability to terminate awards “without evidence of severe crime or civil violations.”

I have the Climate United Fund Lean Regarding the agreement to lawsuit against EPA and Citibank.

“This is absolutely deliberate,” Turner told Blaze News, referring to the broader “goldbar” plot. “All of this was very cautious in preparation for what the Trump administration would do.”

Former EPA special advisor, Brent Efron,
I got caught up in a hidden camera Before Trump took office, he confirmed that the Biden administration's climate initiative is still floating even after Democrats lost foothold in the White House, claiming that the agency was dumping billions of dollars in grants to nonprofits.

“Now, that's how they'll pay as quickly as possible. [Trump administration] Efron said.

“In the grant process, grants can be modified by grantors at any time. I deal with donors who want to fund a particular project, and the situation changes and therefore the nature of the grant changes. That's understandable,” Turner said. “But it wasn't about elections. It was the only standard that changed in some of these groups that were awarded grants – Trump is now president. And it raised a bigger question: What was the nature of grants? It proves that the nature of grants is purely political.”

Turner said the group currently fighting for the Frozen Slash Fund said, “We're fighting for the quality of life that taxpayers are giving them. They're not fighting for the group. They're not fighting for the malignant or marginalized individuals.
