Five officials from Cuba’s communist regime, which the United States has designated as a state sponsor of terrorism, conducted a secret guided tour of Miami International Airport on Monday, sponsored by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
The secret tour is Reportedly In what was described as “law enforcement cooperation” between the two countries, Castro government officials were seen visiting a TSA control facility at Miami airport, which houses some of the agency’s classified computer systems.
The visit by Castro regime officials drew condemnation from the Cuban diaspora in Florida, as well as from local Miami-Dade County and airport officials who reportedly had no knowledge of the planned visit.
Cuba has been designated a State Sponsor of Terrorism (SST) by the United States due to the communist Castro regime’s close ties to several international terrorist organizations, including Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Shiite jihadist organization Hezbollah, and the Colombian terrorist organizations National Liberation Army (ELN) and Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) Marxist terrorist organizations.
The Castro regime also maintains ties with the Sunni jihadist terrorist group Hamas and has repeatedly criticized Israel for conducting self-defense operations against it after the group launched an unprecedented terrorist attack on Israeli territory on October 7, killing more than 1,200 people and taking hundreds hostage.
Cuba was on the SST list from 1982 to 2015, but former President Barack Obama removed it in favor of the rogue communist regime. Cuba is Reintroduced It was added to the list in January 2021 under the administration of former President Donald Trump.
Cuba remains on the U.S. SST list, but President Joe Biden’s administration deleted Last week, Cuba was removed from the list of countries that are “not fully cooperating” with the United States in the fight against terrorism.
Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said it was “no longer appropriate” to include Cuba on the list because Cuban and U.S. law enforcement officials were “again” cooperating on counterterrorism and other related efforts.
The Castro regime’s TSA guided tour of Miami International Airport took place on Cuban Independence Day, May 20. With minimal aid from the United States, Cuba separated from Spain on May 20, 1902.
The Castro regime has gone to great lengths to erase the legacy of May 20th, refusing to celebrate it and going so far as to: Ban Because Cubans protect their independence. Instead, Cuba’s communists are forcing their people to “celebrate” July 26when the late dictator Fidel Castro orchestrated a terrorist attack on the Moncada military garrison in 1953, marking the first of many massacres perpetrated by Castro. Cubans in the diaspora continue to respect and celebrate May 20 as the country’s true independence day.
anonymous source Said US-based news outlet Martí Noticias noted that the visit by Castro officials took place without the knowledge of the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, causing deep concern among airport security personnel, many of whom are Cuban exiles who had fled the communist regime.
The official claimed that as part of the tour, the Cuban officials were invited to an “upscale, modern” area of the Miami airport that not all employees have access to.
“It’s been more than 20 years since we’ve seen something like this at the airport,” the official said. “The Cuban employees were taken to the South Terminal, which is a new terminal with TSA robots. It’s very modern and not everyone can go there.”
“To get in there, you have to investigate each employee,” the source added. “How are they going to arrest these guys who are spies for the Cuban regime and were arrested on May 20?”
The source did not elaborate on technical details or characteristics of the areas visited but claimed the visit put the safety of passengers at risk.
“These are officials from terrorist nations and allies of our enemies, China, Russia and Iran,” the source said. “Who would want to expose these people to our cutting edge technology?”
Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniela Levin Cava released a statement on social media Monday saying she was shocked by the Cuban delegation’s visit to the airport.
she Said:
The decision to allow Cuban officials to tour MIA’s secure area was made without the Miami-Dade Aviation Authority’s knowledge and was made on Cuba’s Independence Day. This day reaffirms our commitment to freedom and democracy in Cuba. brutal dictatorship.
My office has contacted the Department of Homeland Security directly to understand how this decision was made and to request that they include the County and MDAD in future decisions regarding granting access to MIA facilities to foreign government personnel.
Miami-Dade County stands firmly with Cubans here in our community and on the island as they continue their fight to bring freedom to Cuba, and we are committed to ensuring the safety of our community and all those traveling through MIA.
In a statement sent to Martí Noticias and other media outlets, the TSA denied that Cuban officials had access to sensitive technology.
“Cuban authorities did not have access to sensitive technology or systems,” the TSA statement said. “They received an overview of TSA’s security operations, including equipment that can be seen by anyone screening at a checkpoint. This shows best practices in civil aviation security, and it shows that Cuba has a similar system. This is to consider implementing similar measures in the future.”
“TSA officers at Miami International Airport recently hosted dignitaries from Antigua, Barbados, Spain and Brazil on similar visits,” the statement continued.
Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) be criticized “Only a Biden administration would allow a terrorist regime to enter our secure facility at one of America’s busiest airports,” the president said of the visit.
Sen. Rubio added that he asked the Department of Homeland Security “why are they so ignorant?”
Rep. Carlos Gimenez (R-Fla.) released a video holding the Biden administration accountable for the “shameful and dangerous” decision to allow Cuban officials into the TSA facility at Miami airport.

Miami-Dade Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera reportedly It described the visit by Cuban Communist Party officials as an “incredibly reckless act” and claimed the situation was “another example of an insensitive regime manipulated by the Cuban Communist Party for the sake of propaganda victories.” .
“The government’s decision not only puts all Americans at risk and disrespects those who defend Americans, but also serves as a slap in the face to all Cubans who have suffered under an oppressive and criminal communist regime. Absolutely unacceptable!” Cabrera said.
